Valentine’s day stirs thoughts of love, desire, and romance. Of an intimate partner whispering their Hallmark thoughts so gently in your ear; their warm breath taking yours away. As the warmth spreads through your body, the alchemy of love quickens your pulse and sensitizes your touch. Your passion embraces the moment, and without thought, you lose yourself into a ritual predating time.
Upon you I wish the alchemy of love for your Valentine’s Day. For those of you who read the above and said “yea, right!,” read on. As a follower of Brooke Burke and Modern Mom, you likely have children, therefore, an opportunity to celebrate this cherished day in a unique way.
“The lot was cast and then I drew…” Your child. Your teen. Your cast and fortune.
For those with teens or tweens, don’t forget to include Valenteen’s Day into your planning. No, it shouldn’t be romantic or sappy. But what a great day to remind your teen of your unconditional love and parental devotion. Nothing over the top, which will surely be rejected. Just something simple. A card and some treats. Or pull out old photos and videos of your teen or tween and remember the good times together. Perhaps a movie…their choice. And if your teen or tween is busy with their own Valentine, just give a smile and little reminder of how happy you are for them.
