I love Madonna. I have loved Madonna from the moment she burst onto the scene in fishnet stockings, too much hairspray and a bad die job.
If my iPod playlist isn’t enough proof, well frankly, I don’t know what is:
Welcome back to my Modern Mom Blog!! It's a brand new year. And a brand new year, means a brand new start. There is no more perfect time than NOW to make your vision board, and put your plan into action.
Yes, 2012 is about ACTION. This year, we're not just talking - we're walking our talk. And it's gonna be powerful. This year, we're DREAMING BIG.
I promised my readers when I started blogging, that I would always be honest-- show the good, the bad, and the ugly.
And for that reason, I'm sure you Modern Moms won't question why I posted this below. Or maybe you might. Who posts hate mail? (And a pretty bad one, to boot.)
I am still on a high from my weekend in Atlanta. It was honestly, game changing.
I have been waiting to share this exciting news for some time. As bloggers, you can imagine the swag that gets thrown our way... read this and review it, eat this and blog about it, go there and tell your readers about it. But the truth is, I say no to 99% of the offers that are sent my way. The success of this blog has come through integrity, honesty, hard work, and captivating content that keeps you coming back for more.
But sometimes, I get the chance to represent brands that I USE religiously. That I genuinely love. That I believe in. That I am PROUD TO REPRESENT.
So I woke up at 5:30 am on Sunday morning, stomach in knots and pretty anxiety-ridden. This upcoming week is a big one. I just launched The Erica Diamond Jewelry Collection for Ice, I'm missing back-to-school on Wednesday to shoot a TV segment out of town, and just the general mommyhood, wifehood and life duties are swirling around in my already-cluttered brain.
Spike Lee was on my mind this morning. Remember the movie, Do The Right Thing? Well, two weeks ago, I questioned myself-- did I do the right thing? This morning, I questioned myself again, am I doing the right thing? I'll get to my story soon, but first....
I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed (although I do pride on myself on being pretty sharp), I can still recognize a sign when it's flashed my way. And this week, the signs were all around.
