Having low iron levels can lead to anemia - which is especially important to be aware of during conception and pregnancy.
When you are pregnant, the baby will drain your iron supplies, leaving the baby happy in your tummy, but leaving you lightheaded and sluggish.
Even though supplements are always an option, it is preferred that you get your iron from food sources.
Below is a list of some of my favorite veggie options and how the kids and I like to eat them:
Fun fact: When iron rich foods are eaten with vitamin C, the body absorbs the nutrient faster! So eat up, enjoy, and feel good!
