We are all going to have stress in our lives, sorry about that, but it is how you react and prepare for this stress that makes all the difference in the world. How you deal with stress will profoundly affect your health, your mood and your outlook on life. You probably have quite a few responsibilities on your plate and stress is simply a side effect. I have gotten much better over the years of recognizing when stress is starting to take over my body and instead of ignoring it I go into preventative mode. My go-to activity to beat stress is getting a massage.
Do you have any idea how much Americans spend on slim-down products every year? Thirty billion dollars!! Yes I said that. Thirty billion dollars. This is mind boggling to me. We are so focused on the quick-fix and easy solution that we will pay money left and right for the next big thing. What we don't realize is that earth provides the majority of the solutions. And these solutions are pure and whole and clean. Most people think food is the enemy, thinking everything is going to make them gain weight and cause health problems, instead of realizing that food is medicine.
Most people assume improving your health and happiness is going to take a ton of work and a lot of time. Yes, it will take work (well worth the effort), but more importantly it takes a commitment to improve your life.
I am sure all of you can relate when I say your relationship with your hubby sometime takes a back seat to everything else going on in your life! Between kids, work, household tasks, volunteering, shopping and cooking, it takes a second dose of energy to reconnect with your spouse in the evenings. So I was ECSTATIC when I had the chance to grab my husband and head on up to the gorgeous mountain resort town of Winter Park, Colorado. We left a sunny day in Denver and drove into a winter wonderland. It was absolutely breathtaking!
It is difficult not to feel a mix of emotions when others are facing tragedy and unknown. The situation in Newtown,CT can bring a variety of emotions to the surface; helplessness, despair, sadness, or the desire to be grateful for your own life and lending a helping hand. When bad things happen to others it is important to embrace all that you feel. After this you are in a better place emotionally to choose a course of action. You can reach out to others or keep the focus at home and being grateful for everything you DO have.
Take a sneak peek at my fun day!

How great is it to see kids laughing hysterically, being goofy for no reason and simply enjoying life to the fullest? They definitely know how to have fun and they don't let life stop them from doing all the silly things they do. As we get older, having fun can sometimes elude us. Our packed schedules and hectic lifestyle keeps us from engaging in good old-fashioned fun. However scheduling in fun is important for your overall health and happiness. When was the last time you did something really fun?
