- At Home
During the days after Christmas, it's not unusual for visitors to drop by unannounced. The kids are off from school, many people are on vacation from work, and in the days leading up to New Year's, there's generally a festive mood in the air.
If you want an elegant delight on hand for surprise guests, try this recipe for tasty chocolates. Because who doesn't love a homemade sweet treat?
Prepare the coating chocolate by tempering a few ounces of the additional chocolate. (For beginner cooks, tempering means to melt the chocolate slowly at a low temperature.)
Unwrap the LINDOR truffles you plan to coat.
Wash hands, rinse them in cold water and dry them thoroughly (cold hands prevent the truffles from softening and the tempered chocolate from getting too warm).
Place a tablespoon of tempered chocolate in the palm of your hand and roll the LINDOR truffles to coat. Then roll in the topping and place on parchment paper to dry.
Replenish the chocolate in your hand, as needed and continue until you have as many truffles as you want.
Tip: You can also take the LINDOR truffles and roll them in powdered sugar or cocoa powder (without the tempered chocolate coating)
Place in a serving bowl or on a pretty serving platter and enjoy!
