Occupy 'Twilight': Fans Await 'Breaking Dawn' Premiere

The streets outside of L.A.'s Nokia Theatre have been occupied by the most hardcore "twihards" - more than 1,400 in fact - who have waited patiently for the last five days in anticipation of tonight's red carpet premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I."

Making camp in "Tent City," as its called, has become a pre-premiere tradition, one author Stephanie Meyer decided she had to see in person in anticipation of the fourth film.

"I heard the stories about these kids, and it always sounds so amazing," Meyer said after mingling with fans while passing out 600 autographed copies of Breaking Dawn. "So I decided I had to get into town for this."

Cast members including Jackson Rathbone and Peter Facinelli met with fans over the weekend, signing autographs and posing for photos. Keeping up with the #BreakingDawn hashtag became a challenge as giddy fans posted photos of themselves posing with their favorite sparkle vamps.

A few members of the Cullen Family made the rounds during a five-city Cast + Concert Tour as well, making stops in Chicago, Dallas and San Franciso to name a few.

And, just in case you've been living under a rock and have no idea where we are in the whole fangs vs. fur throwdown - the story in a nutshell. And don't worry. No spoilers.

Directed by Academy Award winner Bill Condon, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I, illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.

We jump right back into the thick of it as Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), plus those they love, must deal with the chain of consequences brought on by their nuptials, honeymoon, and the tumultuous birth of their kinda-sorta-child... which brings an unforeseen and shocking development for Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

With more of the romance, passion, intrigue, courage, and action that made Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse international blockbusters, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 begins the conclusion of the universally adored tale of love, boundless friendship, sacrifice, acceptance, and finding your true self.

Based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling book series, the novels and films constitute a full-blown cultural phenomenon with a dedicated fan base that eagerly awaits each installment. There is literal chomping at the bit.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is in theatres on Friday, November 18, 2011.
