Strawberry Parfait Crisps
Do you feel like you could eat endless bowls of fruit and still be hungry an hour later?
Try this 100 calorie strawberry snack to curb a sweet tooth while satisfying your hunger!
Mix:
1/2 cup strawberries cut into halves,
1/2 cup 0% fat greek yogurt,
1/4 cup Health Valley crispy brown rice cereal (or similar cereal).
Then sprinkle with lemon juice.
This will help keep you satisfied.
Although fruit is packed with water, fiber, and nutrients it’s all carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates are great since they’re your body’s energy source but by combining your fruit with some protein (like yogurt) it keeps you feeling full longer since protein takes longer to digest. We both rarely just have fruit without some source of protein for this very reason.
