Now that you have heard all about our little adventure finding this year's Christmas tree, here is the finished product...
These days I especially love to decorate the tree with white and glass ornaments.
We woke up bright and early, ok maybe not that early, 8 am. Had breakfast and talked of our soon to be Christmas tree adventure. Somehow 3 hours got away from us like they tend to do on weekend mornings. We googled the perfect farm to find this year's family Christmas tree, and emailed the directions to our phone. Got the kids suited up in snow gear, and another hour later we were on our way.
I have this strange, or maybe not so strange, love of barns. I think they are beautiful and I absolutely LOVE taking pictures of them! Moving to Idaho has done wonders for my barn addiction. I love the red ones, the white ones, barns that appear weathered and have stood the test of time, small ones, large ones. I basically love them all!
It has been so cold with lots of wind and snow at our home that the kids and I thought snowflake inspired sugar cookies were in order. A nice addition to Thanksgiving dinner :-)
I am very grateful to you for sharing in this journey of life with me. It means more than words can say. Wishing you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving!
I look forward to returning Monday.
There is magic alive in the world. The first snowfall of the season is one of those magical moments. When you wake up in the morning to realize there is a blanket of soft snow covering the ground, your heart takes flight. The child within you is released. Happiness and excitement burst.
