Back at Home and Loving It!

There’s nothing better for me than home time with my family.  There are so many easy, simple things that we do that I have missed in the last few months.
But don’t think the DWTS spirit is totally gone, here we are having our own living room dance off.  I love to crank up the music and clear off the coffee table for those who dare to do their own version of the table dance.  All the kids bust their best moves, and David and I go back many years to share our own.  The Malibu ballroom has become one of our craziest traditions.

Rain has become obsessed with nails and asks every day if she can do mine  I must admit that I had to pass on Mondays and Tuesdays- could you imagine if this was my DWTS microphone hand?

But Rain is the best 3 year old manicurist ever!!!! (If you love a rainbow pattern.)  Seriously, for her I will wear anything.

I think I spend most of my time at home in the kitchen. Fortunately, I LOVE to cook and my family loves to eat.  It’s so nice to be back, and I’ll be sharing lots of new recipes with you all summer long.

This is a healthy crunchy, delicious recipe to accompany any dish. Compliments of my sister-in-law Amy.

Wash and gut 5-10 red peppers
Slice into quarters
Line cookie sheet skin side down, if the peppers are touching or overlapping, it’s better.
Drizzle with olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
Sprinkle with diced garlic, be sure each pepper has oil and garlic in it.
Bake at 350 for 1 hr, then 250 for 2 more hours, the longer the better.
