Tracy Morgan is hospitalized in critical condition following a multi car crash on the New Jersey turnpike early Saturday morning. The 45 year old actor/comedian, best known for his roles in Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, was transported by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey after his limo bus overturned, according to New Jersey State Police.
Morgan’s limo bus, two semi trucks, and three other vehicles were involved in the fatal accident. One person from the limo bus was killed and 6 people besides Morgan were injured according to New Jersey State Police spokesman, Gregory Williams. Preliminary State Police investigations reveal the crash may have been caused when one of the semi trucks rear ended Morgan’s limo bus.
Morgan performed in Dover, Delaware Friday night in his “Turn it Funny” stand-up comedy tour. He had been due in Charlotte, North Carolina for a show Saturday.
We are sending our thoughts and prayers to Tracy and his family.
