The FURminator: Fur WON’T Be Back!

We just rescued the cutest little English Bulldog-French Bulldog mix named Bosco from a rescue organization in Southern California.  He’s an absolute bundle of joy – even with all of the slobbering, snoring, burping, wheezing, and farting.

But with every great bulldog comes great responsibility -they are extremely high maintenance.  We can only give him “premium food” due to his overly sensitive stomach; we were recommended to give him fish oil with his food to help with his sensitive skin; we give him eye drops to help keep his eyes flushed and clean to avoid infection; we pay extra attention to drying the wrinkles on his face while bathing him so that the moisture doesn’t cause bacteria to grow.  Did I mention he’s high maintenance?

However, one thing we didn’t even consider was shedding!  Bulldogs have pretty short fur, so we didn’t think anything of it.  We brought him home and noticed a very minimal amount of hair lying around – nothing a quick once-over with the dust-buster or lint roller wouldn’t take care of.   Until summer hit… and suddenly we were barking up a new tree!

One of the ladies from the rescue organization had told us that she uses a brush called the FURminator on her little bully.  We got* the recommended brush for the length of Bosco’s hair, and began to use it immediately.  After the first pass of the brush, we were AMAZED with how much fur it gathered.  We have been using it every few days on him and the amount of fur that is left around the house, car, or clothes has been reduced significantly!

The deShedding tool reaches deep beneath your dog’s topcoat to gently remove undercoat and loose hair.  It also has a FURejector® button that cleans and removes loose hair from the tool with ease!

Bosco loves being brushed with the FURminator.  We love not having to vacuum every day.  I’d say it’s a win-win.

*We were sent the Medium Dog Long Hair deShedding Tool for review on ModernMom.
