Person of Interest to be Released on BluRay/DVD

“You are being watched. The government has a secret system: a machine that spies on you every hour of every day. I know because I built it. I designed the machine to detect acts of terror, but it sees everything. Violent crimes involving ordinary people, people like you. Crimes the government considered irrelevant. They wouldn’t act, so I decided I would. But I needed a partner, someone with the skills to intervene. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You’ll never find us, but victim or perpetrator, if your number’s up…we’ll find you.”

This is the opening voice over of CBS’s hit drama, Person of Interest.  Its first season averaged 14 million viewers each week, earning it the award for Favorite New TV Drama from the People’s Choice Awards.  If you’re one of the apt viewers, you’ll be excited to know that Season One will be available on September 4th, 2012.

Jim Caviezel plays former CIA agent and U.S. Army Special Forces veteran, John Reese who is brought in by Harold Finch (played by Emmy award winner, Michael Emerson) to monitor the behavior of individuals marked by The Machine as potential terrorists.  Finch is the inventor of The Machine that reveals the social security numbers of people who are about to commit a crime or to be the victim of a crime.  It is Reese’s job to hunt the persons of interest down and stop them before the crime is ever committed.

“With its stellar cast, unique premise and compelling story lines, Person of Interest is an action-packed drama that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats,” said Rosemary Markson, WHV Senior Vice President, TV and Special Interest Marketing.

The package includes the first 23 episodes of Person of Interest, included the extended edition of the pilot.  Also included are a gag reel, cast commentary for both the original and extended pilots, and a featurette: Living in an Age of Surveillance.

The Blu-ray® edition includes Blu-ray® and DVD copies of all episodes as well as an Ultra Violet™ Digital Copy.  The UltraViolet™ Digital Copy allows consumers to instantly stream and download all 23 episodes from The Cloud for viewing on computers and compatible iOS and Android devices.

She added, “We are thrilled to bring this unique new series to fans in the ultimate home entertainment package – Blu-ray® Combo Pack.  Giving consumers more ways to watch at an outstanding value, this edition includes all 23 episodes on both Blu-ray® and DVD discs as well as UltraViolet for digital download and instant streaming!”
