Fresh Salsa Recipe

This recipe is gonna leave you dancing. There’s nothing like a bunch of fresh ingredients that taste so good together. It’s delectable and really healthy. Plus as an added bonus it’s my favorite color- red, so you might want to whip some up on Valentine’s Day! Good for your heart and it balances out the chocolate, am I right?

Of course, you can serve it with chips and you’ll be smiling, but it also tastes great on top of numerous healthy dishes. For example: rice, beans, salsa, and a little avocado or a scoop of guacamole and you’ll have the homemade dinner of your dreams (or at least mine anyway).

Wishing you the most beautiful day!

4 tomatoes (medium to large), chopped

½ green bell pepper, chopped

½ onion, diced

2 handfuls cilantro, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

¾ tsp. sea salt

½ tsp. black pepper

For Heat (optional):

Add finely diced jalapeno or serrano pepper to taste.

In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients.

Store salsa in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
