Fast Food is Shrinking
Snack-sized fast food is catching on. See who's on board!
Fast-food restaurants that have long been offering mega super-sized portions are now giving patrons the option of smaller-sized, nibbler portions.
Burger King came out with BK Burger Shots last February, McDonald's introduced their Big Mac Snack Wrap, and Jack in the Box now offers Mini Surloin Burgers.
Even Dunkin' Donuts has rebranded their doughnut holes as "Munchkins" to arouse patron appeal. Dairy Queen is the latest restaurant to introduce a shrinking menu option, the 7-ounce Mini Blizzard, which is 5 ounces smaller than their current "small" size.
Having the option of these types of snack-sized portions could be the first step towards a healthier America. Now let's see if ordering mini will catch on.
