Shopkick App Lets You Earn Rewards for Shopping
Shopkick is a free app available on the iPhone which allows users to receive credits (or "kickbucks") just for entering certain stores. More kickbucks could be earned by trying on clothes or scanning a barcode on your iPhone.
The ingenious app teamed up with a ton of U.S. chains like Best Buy, Macy's, The Sports Authority, and American Eagle.
The acquired Kickbucks can be spent as credits at the store, or as Facebook credits, on magazine subscriptions, song downloads or even donated to charity.
Over 600 individual stores, and 100 malls will be installing Shopkick devices which emit a sound only your iPhone could detect in order to identify whether you've entered the store, or even walked by.
Granted, it will usually take a lot of Kickbucks to receive the rewards. It will take 1,250 Kickbucks to get a $5 voucher at American Eagle, where a visit to the store is only worth 35 Kickbucks.
But, for all you shopaholics out there, earning rewards for shopping is a dream come true!
