Drew and Brittany Brees Gush About the Manning Family
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is a lot closer to his Super Bowl rival, the Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, than we knew. Manning and his family of football stars are from New Orleans. Archie Manning, Peyton's father, even used to be the Saints quarterback. Drew and his wife Brittany share the details in an interview with Katie Couric.
"The entire Manning Family has been-- been great to us down here," Drew Brees told CBS . "They're amazing ambassadors to the city," Brittany added.
Drew told Couric that Archie has been very helpful this season.
So how does the elder Manning feel about his old team playing his son? Drew states, "[Archie] even sent me a text - a few days ago - you know prior to the game and he said, 'if you were playing anybody else, I'd be all over this. You know, blood's thicker than water."
May the best man win the game today. While we know Archie is cheering on his son, if the Saints win, he probably will not be too broken-hearted.
