Steve Phillips Speaks Out About Brooke Hundley Affair

Former ESPN analyst Steve Phillips shared his side of his scandal on the Today Show this morning. Phillips just got out of sex rehab. 

He lost his job over an affair he had with Brooke Hundley, an ESPN production assistant. Hundley was also fired after she wrote a note to Phillips' wife detailing the affair she had with Phillips. Hundley then ran her car into the analyst's home. 

Phillips told Matt Lauer Monday morning, "People look at sex addiction as an excuse; it's not an excuse." He knew he had a problem early. "I started calling facilities in August, well before everything blew up, and before there really was a problem where I ended up losing my job. I knew I had a problem; I needed to get help."

Phillips is trying his best to repair his marriage. "I've broken my wife's heart. I've damaged her and our relationship in a terrible way.... I'm working my tail off to try to save my marriage. I don't know what the ultimate result will be."
