Stephen Hawking Claims God Did Not Create the Universe
In Stephen Hawking's new book, "The Grand Design", he claims that the Big Bang was a natural event that didn't need God's involvement.
"Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing," he writes. "Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the Universe exists, why we exist."
Scientific geniuses like Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton did not even rule out God's involvement in the creation of the universe. In "A Brief History in Time", Hawking's earlier book, the scientist himself claimed God could have been a factor in the creation of the universe.
