7.2 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Christchurch, New Zealand
A huge 7.2 magnitude has just hit New Zealand's second-largest city, Christchurch. Power was knocked out across the city, roadways and structures were damaged, and cell phones were failing. The city is still experiencing intense aftershocks. The casualties are not yet known.
Christchurch is the largest city on New Zealand's South Island, with a population of 350,000.
