Baby Names from Hunger Games
Happy Hunger Names!
Baby names are taking a turn for the literary and we love it! Moms and dads around the U.S. are starting to pull baby name inspiration from this year's best-selling Hunger Games trilogy. Well, that's one way to get your kids interested in books.
According to the baby-name hotsite Nameberry, the name Cinna - along with Senna, a female version - are both up 1,500 percent from their rankings last year!
While the name Peeta might remind you a little too much of the animal-rights group, Collins' novels are full of other new, interesting, and flat out unique names that will make your kid's elementary school teachers chuckle and reminisce about the Hunger-hype of 2012.
Need more ideas? For girl names, there are a few obvious choices like Katniss, Primrose and Rue, but you could also consider Effie or Gale.
For boys the options are a little more limited - not many people want to name their little darling Clove or Thresh - but how about Hawthorne (Gale's last name) or Mitch (short for Haymitch)?
We hope this helps all the parents-to-be out there who are agonizing over what to name their offspring. May the odds be ever in your favor.
