Remembering the Victims of the Sandy Hook Shooting
In the days that have followed Friday's horrific shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, there has been a tremendous outpouring of support from those shocked and saddened by the unthinkable violence.
A gunman killed 26 people - 20 of them children between the ages of six and seven years old. There are no words to make sense of this tragedy, no way to bring back all the innocent lives cut short.
To honor the victims, people around the world have gathered together for vigils and memorial services.
"We needed this. We needed to be together, here in this room, in the gymnasium, outside the doors of this school, in living rooms around the world," said Rev. Matt Crebbin, senior minister of the Newtown Congregational Church. "These darkest days of our community shall not be the final word heard from us."
