"Billionaire Boyfriend" - Has Kate Walsh Gone Off The Deep End?
Private Practice star Kate Walsh has released a new fragrance called Billionaire Boyfriend along with a "webemercial" that makes us wonder whether she's been sniffing more than just perfume.
The scent - available on HSN.com and Sephora.com for $45-$75 - is the second in Walsh's "boyfriend" series. In fact, she told PEOPLE that those familiar with the line will recognize similarities.
But the video... it's truly one of a kind.
Here's an overview:
Walsh, decked out in a bedazzled headband, dollar sign earrings and black bra top, hits the casino with an equally blinged-out gentleman rocking a blonde 'fro.
That's right - DOLLAR SIGN EARRINGS.
"The idea was always luxe,” the 44-year-old actress told PEOPLE. “It’s kind of a throwback to times when things were just sexy and romantic, and that fantasy of James Bond movies, Monte Carlo, driving down the coast in a sports car … la dolce vita.”
This ad feels about as sexy and romantic as a keg party with Snooki and the rest of the Ed Hardy gang from the Jersey Shore. (Although in a weird way, that makes sense, since I'm pretty sure they're the target demographic.)
Is she serious? I honestly can't tell.
Maybe it is a super high-level satire of perfume ads. Or maybe Addison has just gone batsh*t crazy.
