Casey Anthony Wears Caylee's Ashes in Necklace
Just when you thought Casey Anthony couldn't get any more shocking... now she's wearing Caylee's ashes around her neck.
Almost a year after being acquitted in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Anthony and her mother Cindy are both wearing necklaces containing Caylee's ashes.
"Casey told me it was the way the Anthony women would be together forever," a friend told PEOPLE.
This report is backed up in the book "#LiesLiesLies, Exposing Casey and Surviving the Smear," in which self-published authors Amelia Noel Sobel and Myrah Nicole Young share how Casey and Cindy spoke via Skype about the macabre memento.
“Cindy used the opportunity to ask Casey if she wanted to wear something that had been set aside for her three years ago,” the book claims, quoting unnamed sources.
“With Casey’s acceptance, Cindy would send this sacred offering through FedEx. Casey would leave California with a new accessory: an ash-holder necklace with a portion of Caylee’s remains inside.”
The 26-year-old has been living in seclusion since her release from jail last July. In an interview with Piers Morgan last month, she maintained that she did not kill her daughter, and that she has been misunderstood.
