Public Transit Workers Rescue Lost Bunny!
If your child has a favorite stuffed animal, than you're well aware that furry friends are more than toys - they're part of the family! (Remember when we lost Chickie?)
That's why we just love this story:
When 3-year-old Riley Carey-Brown dropped her stuffed bunny onto the train tracks, Boston T employees stopped an oncoming train to rescue "Nummy."
“They restored my faith in humanity,” her mother, Michelle Carey-Brown told the Boston Herald.
The bunny took the fateful plunge while the family was exiting a train on Wednesday evening. Riley's dad, Casey Carey-Brown alerted customer service agents who called the MBTA dispatcher, Rhiannon Bernier.
She alerted the next train operator, who stopped the train short of the platform and scooped up the stuffed animal from the tracks.
"I have three kids of my own and my youngest is obsessed with animals. We had to get it out of the tracks for her so it wouldn’t get crushed,” Bernier said.
Saved! Nummy and Riley were reunited!
