Casey Anthony's Lawyer Writes Tell All

Casey Anthony's Lawyer Writes Tell All

Whatever your opinion on the outcome of her highly publicized trial, the lawyer defending Casey Anthony is planning to shed more light on his client's situation. Jose Baez is releasing a 421-page tell-all entitled "Presumed Guilty, Casey Anthony: The Inside Story."

In the book, he shares the difficulty Casey Anthony faced when she had already been judged by the media and the public as a murdering mom. In an interview with PEOPLE, Baez said, "I wrote the book because there was so much that people didn't know, and still don't know. This book is more than 420 pages of nothing but the inside story. I think people's reaction will be surprised at how much they don't know. My goal wasn't to change anyone's minds. My goal was to tell the story and if people change their minds, it will be because [they learned] more facts."

Parts of the book explore Anthony's mental health issues, claiming that the detectives dealing with her should have recognized her issues from the very start.

For instance, when describing why the Florida mother took police officers to Universal Studios to look for her daughter, Caylee, Baez writes that detectives should have realized, " 'Wait a minute, we're not dealing with someone who is playing with a full deck.' "

Along with the full story of what Casey told police, what the defense argued happened, and the reactions of those involved in the case, Baez shares his thoughts (and criticisms) of the media, the judges, and others.

Presumed Guilty, Casey Anthony: The Inside Story will be released on July 3.
