Woman and Three Children Found Dead at Missouri Campground
A woman and three children were found dead at a rural ranch resort in Bourbon, Missouri. Police were still trying to determine their identities on Sunday.
NBC affiliate KSDK TV reported that a handgun was found next to the bodies and the local sheriff said it appeared to be murder-suicide. There are not currently any suspects.
"We're not looking for anybody at this time," said Crawford County Sheriff Randy Martin.
"We don't know for sure," Martin said when asked if it looked like the woman had killed the children and then herself, "but it kind of appears it could be that way."
The victims were found along a remote gravel lane at Blue Springs ranch. The bodies had one gunshot wound each and it is believed that the woman, possibly the children's mother, shot them before turning the gun on herself.
