Vice Magazine's Menstrual Blood Fashion Editorial

Parents, watchdog activist groups and even teenage girls have been on the case of fashion magazines to portray women more realistically, but has Vice Magazine gotten a little TOO real?

Their latest editorial, called "There Will Be Blood," features girls going about their daily routines (jogging, reading, sitting in bed) with visibly bloody underwear, period leakage and in one case, changing a tampon.

While this ode to menstruation captured by photographer Emma Arvida Bystrom is certainly unique, it does raise some real questions about taste.

Do the great minds over at Vice Magazine think this is somehow artistic and appropriate? Or is it just for shock value?

Either way, we're not impressed.
