RECALL - Ground Beef Due To Possible E.Coli

Go check your ground beef because it may be contaminated with E.coli. Two deaths and 26 other illnesses may be linked to tainted fresh ground beef.

Fairbank Farms recalled almost 546,000 pounds of fresh ground beef that was distributed in September to stores in North Carolina to Main. The meat could be in the form of meatloaf and meatball mix to hamburger patties.

The products were sold at many stores, including Trader Joes. Symptoms of E.coli infection include severe stomach cramps and diarrhea that can turn bloody within two to three days. Dehydration and kidney failure can occur. Symptoms typically show up three - four days after eating the contaminated food but can be up to eight days. Contact a doctor immediately if you have any of these symptoms.
