Lee DeWyze won America's heart and took home victory last night on American Idol. He told PEOPLE after the show, "I'm just taking it all in. Now I get to go make an album and tour. I can't believe this right now. This is insane!" The 24-year-old Chicago native is happy the show is over though. "It feels like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders," he told PEOPLE. "I'm not saying to myself, 'What am I going to sing next week?' "

Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough take the trophy. Season 10 has come to an end, and what a season it was! Nicole gave her best performance yet as she tangoed and jived her way to the top. She beat out Evan and Anna and earned the Mirror Ball Trophy. The results seemed predictable to most, but Nicole seemed genuinely surprised to be the winner.

Classic funny-man Art Linkletter died at age 97 Wednesday. According to Fox news, his son-in-law Art Hershey says Linkletter died at his Bel-Air home.
Linkletter was best known for "Art Linkletter's House Party," one of television's longest-running variety shows. It was on CBS from 1952 to 1969. The show was most popular for its daily interviews with schoolchildren.

South Carolina Representative Nikki Haley denies allegations of an affair with conservative blogger, Will Folks. Nikki claims that these allegations were made in an effort to derail her campaign for governor, especially considering the suspicious timing of the Folks' allegation - less than a week after a poll revealed that she is the leading candidate.
"Several years ago, prior to my marriage, I had an inappropriate physical relationship with Nikki," wrote Folks on his blog. Nikki claims she has always been faithful to her husband of 13 years.

Although it probably wont match her clubbing outfits, Lindsey Lohan has been ordered by the court to wear an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet. The bracelet keeps track of the wearer's alcohol consumption by measuring body sweat. The judge was probably already pissed because Lohan extended her Cannes stay (due to a "missing passport") and failed to appear at a mandatory hearing five days earlier. Lindsey must also attend a weekly alcohol education course in Los Angeles, which means she probably wont be traveling much for the time being.
