Dennis Hopper was just diagnosed with prostate cancer. He is cancelling all of his travel plans to focus on his treatment. He was set to appear at his art and photography exhibition in Melbourne - called "Dennis Hopper and the New Hollywood."

Sam Maydew, the 73-year-old actor's manager, said that Hopper is being treated at the University of Southern California at a "special program."

As for the prognosis, Maydew says "We're hoping for the best."
