"I wanted a boy--probably because I was afraid. I think women suffer a bit more than boys, and there is always conflict between mothers and daughters. Now that she's here, I'm so happy she's a girl...I just feel so fortunate to be her mother, and it makes me excited about the rest of my life, because I will get to witness her transformation every day." --Salma Hayek to Glamour magazine "I don't care if they say I have buttock implants, or not. I don't care. Go ahead. That's the nice thing about getting to the age I am. I could have said I didn't care before -- but secretly I did. And now I... continue reading
Halle Berry's workout secrets are out! To get back into shape after giving birth to daughter, Nahla, the actress, 41, works out for 60 minutes, five days a week with trainer Ramona Braganza (whose other clients, according to her website, include Jessica Biel and Anne Hathaway), People magazine reports. Ramona's challenging sessions for Halle include, "three cardio segments - on the elliptical, as well as kickboxing and then a stairs or hill climb. Then, she also does a strength-training routine that include abdominal work and leg exercises." But Halle's body bounce back wasn't all... continue reading
Celebumoms love Baby Candy's Sugar-Free organic line of t-shirts for their little ones, especially now that going green has become glam. (Mommywood reported a couple months ago that Baby Candy was featured in gift bags for Marcia Cross' twins Eden and Savannah's first birthdays!) Former Bachelorette Trista Sutter, mom of Max, eight months, was so impressed with the line that she sent the company a thank you note after getting gifted some items. Trista wrote, "We LOVE them - especially the fact that they are organic! We continue to be huge fans!" Baby Candy's organic line also have cute... continue reading
Michelle Williams attended a private ceremony Saturday in Los Angeles to honor her ex, Heath Ledger, a source tells Us Weekly reports. The actor's family, Josh Hartnett and Heath's other ex, Naomi Watts, as well as other industry figures and people connected to CAA (the agency that represented Ledger), also attended. Demi Moore, her ex-hubby Bruce Willis, and their three girls (Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah) took Demi's current hubby, Ashton Kutcher, out for an early birthday celebration Sunday night in Los Angeles as one big happy family. Ashton turns 30 on February 7th. Jen Garner, hubby... continue reading
In a frank interview with Eve magazine, Julianne Moore, mom to Caleb, 10 and Liv, 5, talks about the pressures to maintain an 'acceptable' figure in the film industry. "I think I'm a slender person, but the industry apparently doesn't," she says. "All actresses are hungry all the time, I think." Her own wacky diet, she says, is not satiating, nor satisfying. "I still battle with my deeply boring diet of, essentially, yogurt and breakfast cereal and granola bars. I hate dieting. I hate having to do it to be the 'right' size. I'm hungry all the time." I'm sure moms and actresses Liv Tyler... continue reading
Heidi Klum reveals to People magazine how her hunky hubby, Seal, proposed marriage. Heidi said that while on vacation in Canada, Seal "had an igloo built there, and they'd brought up everything: a bed with sheets inside the igloo, rose petals everywhere, candles. Very, very romantic!" People.com reports that Gwyneth Paltrow and long-time pal, star chef Mario Batali, recently completed filming a documentary series, "Spain . . . On the Road Again," in which they "travel through Iberia (in a convertible - everyone shares the driving), eating, cooking and taking in the sights, along with food... continue reading
Lisa Rinna, 45, finally decided to discuss the "...pink elephant in the room," on the Today Show. "This is the first time I have told what I have done to my lips," she confessed. Rinna disclosed that 23 years ago she put silicone in her top lip to make her lips look "plump and beautiful" like Barbara Hershey in the movie Beaches. She loved how she looked and commented that it "made me who I am." But, she wasn't happy for long... the silicone in her lip hardened into scar tissue and was no longer attractive. She took a cortisone injection to help but that turned out "gross." She... continue reading
Most of these celebumoms are rather young to be our mothers, but I thought this poll was rather cute. Us Weekly put this one up last week and Reese Witherspoon was the top choice, with 49 percent of the vote. Following Reese was Jen Garner, who got almost 26 percent. Angelina Jolie got nearly 20 percent of the votes, and Katie Holmes trailed at 4.7 percent. While these celebumoms are all dynamic women, I thought US left out some key women in their poll--Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow, just to name a couple. What do Modern Moms think? Which celeb mom would you want to be your mother? continue reading
