Legendary athlete David Beckham bid an emotional farewell on Saturday to the sport that has made him a household name for more than two decades.
The soccer star (or football, as it's known in the rest of the world), played his final home game for Paris Saint-Germain on May 18 after announcing his retirement last week.
As he left the field for the last time, the crowd rose to their feet and erupted in applause. Beckham walked slowly off the pitch, wiping tears from his eyes.

Angelina Jolie has revealed that she underwent a double mastectomy after learning that she carried a gene that dramatically increased her risk of getting breast cancer.
In an op-ed piece for the New York Times titled "My Medical Choice," the 37-year-old actress opened up about the reasons for her decision.
Because she carries a mutation of the BRCA1 gene, "My doctors estimated that I had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer, although the risk is different in the case of each woman."

Selena Gomez shared some exciting family news on Mother's Day - she's going to be a big sister!
The 20-year-old pop star tweeted a photo of her mom Mandy Teefey with a growing baby bump.
She added, "Hope all the amazing moms had a great day! I have the best momma in the world :)) I love you so much!"
It will be the first child for Teefey and her husband Brian, who got married in 2006.
As for Gomez, she's got a busy year ahead. In addition to her big sister-to-be responsibilities, she's releasing a new album (Stars Dance) and has an upcoming world tour.

The 23-year-old actress revealed on Friday that she and fiancé Josh Beech were married... just three days before the finale of her CW series 90210.
"I now pronounce us Mr. and Mrs. Beech! Ahhh!" she tweeted, sharing a wedding photo of the pair kissing. "Huge day," the groom tweeted hours before.
The ceremony took place outside of London at a countryside manor.
