When choosing the baby's gender, do they inseminate you the very day or give you a certain day?

Me and my partner are lesbians, we bought sperm from a sperm bank and asked for it to be delivered to us. We're going to travel to california to give the semen to a laboratory/clinic thay specializes in choosing the baby's gender for 99.9% accuracy that it will be a girl. We already have an appointment schedule, I was wondering if anyone knows or has an idea if they will inseminate it in me the very day of the appointment or if it will take a while.
