Cyvia : Beauty and Makeup Expert

I am a proud mommy of 3 and professional/celebrity makeup artist. I genuinely understand the demands of motherhood, chaotic schedules, lack of "me time" and constant fatigue.

Currently employed by the NFL Network, where I do makeup and hair for on-air talent for both men and women. I love blogging, tweeting (@makeupbycyvia) makeup tips, and video “how to” instruction.

Makeup has been my craft and passion for over 20 years, it empowers me, fulfills me and makes me happy. I received training at an accredited makeup artist school, to enhance facial features, conceal imperfections and educate clients on makeup application. I thrive on sharing my knowledge and creativity...beauty is everywhere.

A very special quote I found..... Keep your thought positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny. Mahatma Gandhi continue reading
The things I love about Six Week Slim Down so far... Looking in the mirror and seeing that my hard work has paid off. Feeling energetic all day long. Learning and trying new recipes. Doing this with support and encouragement from my friends-- Pushing myself. Looking forward, not backward. The time I set for myself everyday makes me so happy. Trying on clothes is not horrid. Craving healthy foods and not Twix bars. continue reading
I bake a few breasts of chicken using easy ingredients like, salt, pepper, olive oil and Trader Joes "everyday seasoning". I'll store these away in fridge so all I have to do is warm it up and add a side. Today's side is Roasted Tomatoes**** These tomatoes are made by taking out center, adding olive oil and I use these herbs de provence (it's a blend of thyme, basil, onion, bay leaf, rosemary, lavender, & other spices). Then bake. Super simple and quick lunch! Yumm. continue reading
I don't always have time to read magazines and cookbooks. But, when I take the kids or myself to a Doctor's appointment, I have a little ritual... I flip through the magazine(s) for easy, light, healthy recipes and snap a picture of it with my iPhone. I don't have to look through a cookbook, find the recipe or write anything down for later :) I look forward to waiting rooms-- LOL! continue reading

Plus it's a great way of releasing tension by using it to stretch. Of course, Brooke's newest DVD series is equally amazing! They have all the moves you need to burn and sweat to a new you.
