About Ava Kaufman
Ava is a Mom, an inspiration and a true miracle. Ava's healthy life came to an abrupt stop when she found herself in hospital with a failed heart. After 10 intense days of being kept alive by machines, Ava received a heart transplant, just in time to save her life. After her recovery, Ava, a Cancer survivor and former dancer, dedicated her life to helping others.
Ava volunteered at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center helping hundreds of candidates, transplant recipients and their families, through their transplant journey. Her story was featured on "NBC Nightly News." Ava established a non-profit, Ava's Heart, which provides support for transplant candidates and recipients. Ava is an Ambassador of Donate Life and helps to create awareness on Organ Donation.
Ava's most important role is being a loving Mom to her daughter Jade.
She still has a passion for dance and dances every week!
In her 'heartfelt' blog, Ava shares the stories of inspirational mother's on the same journey as her.

Right now the two-year-old is living with an LVAD, which is keeping her alive.
Being parents ourselves, we can not even imagine the stress, anxiety and heartfelt suffering these parents experience every minute of every day.
