Brooke had an amazing night Monday. But how did she finally end up holding a mic at DWTS? Well, read on to find out. Brooke kept track of her crazy day to share.
7 a.m.
Rolling out of bed (truthfully I slept on the floor because everyone ended up in my bed, but it’s all good) after a surprisingly good night sleep even with preshow jitters. Musical beds is nothing new in my house.
Too busy for breakfast – out the door made it to carpool by 8am.
Stopping at the health food store for a frozen berry protein drink
9:45 a.m.
Pulling into the lot I can already feel the nervous energy which I remember oh so well.
Getting through the very first show – the premier of season 10 is definitely the hardest part of the season for the dancers (and oh, me too!).
Big breath
9:50 a.m.
Going into a script review meeting.
12:00 a.m.
Hair and makeup – you’ll love my new glittery blond j/k, I’m excited to play dress-up tonight. I’m so lucky to have such a great team of artists to work with. Still trying to decide to go purple or silver for tonight… Black nails, red or au natural? Hair up, hair down, I forgot how fun it is to play dress up – so many decisions.
Nerves
The nerves are high, dancers are getting ready for a full dress rehearsal, everyone is as nervous as I can remember being! It’s exciting, thrilling, scary, and surreal. I can totally feel all the emotions that are running through the dancers and I have a new set of my own, getting ready to co-host the live show with Tom.
Lots of new changes tonight – can’t wait for you to see the new room (I love it, tons more energy and much like a fish bowl. Laughing out loud, you’ll see).
Confession…
I feel like this is the most talked about season ever, what a sexy cast, I can’t wait to watch the live performances, I hope to see you there.
Confession… I’m so happy to be back on the dance floor but so relieved I’m not dancing tonight.
