Recall – 8,500 Pounds of Ground Beef Due To E.Coli

Cargill Inc is recalling 8,500 pounds of ground beef after a cluster of E.coli illnesses broke out. The hamburger was sold in eight states a few months ago but it may still be in your freezer.

The hamburger has the number "EST 9400" and product code "W69032) and has a "use/freeze by" date of July 1. These products were shipped to distribution centers in Connecticut and Maryland and sold under different retail brand names.

Check your meat and remember to always cook meat thoroughly and wash your hands and cutting and prep surfaces.
