Hair Styling Tips & Tricks for Girls

It is no secret that girls often devote more time and effort into perfecting their hair styles than boys do. From conditioning your locks to creating the perfect style, your hair maintenance regimen can be overwhelming. With some simple tricks of the trade, you can reduce the amount of time you have to devote to your hair and produce your polished look with ease.

Clip Back

Don’t ruin your hairdo by pulling it back into a ponytail while you work on your makeup. Instead, keep your hair back with a simple model-proven tip. Use sheets of white tissue paper cut into approximately 3-inch squares and standard bobby pins. Pull your hair back on one side. Fold the tissue paper in half, and sandwich your locks between the two halves. Attach the paper and secure your hair by sliding a pin over the exterior. Repeat on the other side.

Boost the Volume

Voluminous hair is something every girl wants. Add some life to your locks with some hair wax and baby powder. To fluff up your mane, spread a dime-sized amount of hair wax between your palms. Flip your head upside down, and rub the wax into your roots. Right your head, and wash your hands. Spread some baby powder on your hands. Working from underneath, rub this powder into the wax deposits. By adding the powder, you reduce the greasy look of the wax but maintain the added volume.

Curl Without Fuss

If you want curly locks, you don’t have to spend hours in front of the mirror with a curling iron. Instead, pick up some classic hot rollers. Heat the rollers and slip them into your hair when you first get up. Eat some breakfast, drink your juice and watch some TV. Once the rollers have cooled to the touch, remove them from your hair and let your new curls cascade across your shoulders.

Adopt Bohemian Beauty

Many girls toil to make themselves look perfectly coiffed each day. Instead of dedicating the time and sweat to this endeavor, consider an aesthetic bohemian look. Let your hair take on some natural texture by allowing it to air dry. Treat your tresses with only a brush, avoiding the damaging heat of other styling tools. Not only is this practice good for your hair, it also allows your natural beauty to shine through.
