The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on this week that NexTorch has recalled roughly 16,000 NexTorch flashlight batteries. These batteries are prone to overheating, causing the device to potentially catch on fire.

Manufactured in the China, these batteries were sold at various firearm dealers, law enforcement supply stores, and online at amazon.com or nextorch.com. They were sold between July 2007 and July 2011 for around $2 per battery.

Consumers should immediately stop using these recalled batteries and contact NexTorch for instructions on how to receive a free replacement. For more information, please contact NexTorch at (877) 867-2415 or visit the USCPSC website for more information on the recalled batteries.
