Denise's Reality Show is a GoI say its a No-No!

Despite ex-husband Charlie Sheen’s attempts to stop her, Denise Richards is the latest star to have her own reality show. Ryan Seacrest’s production company promises to show the “human side” of Richards’ life as an actress and mother (to daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2) in the series, which has yet to be titled. The show will follow Denise though her career, as well as document her navigating the dating world.

I am all for a Modern Mom like Denise giving the world a taste of how much juggling one has to do while having a demanding career and little ones to take care of, especially since she is also divorced and has to take on the single mom role as well.

But, is this the right way to do it? Why any celeb mother would subject her little ones to constant documentation of their lives, and with it, even more publicity, is beyond me. Apparently, Charlie Sheen agreed with me. Last month a judge ruled that Charlie could not legally block their daughters from appearing in the show. I’m thinking maybe the judge was a little distracted by Denise’s beauty when he made that ruling. Having the camera around constantly doesn’t seem like the best environment for little kids. I sometimes wonder about the safety of these celeb kids, in general, both physically and emotionally, especially now that the paparazzi seem more desperate than ever to get their shots. Even though there are cameras rolling, this kind of child exposure only leads me to think the worst could happen–ransoms, kidnappings, and all that icky stuff. I had no issue, however, with the show, “Kid Nation.” I thought that was done quite well and was a positive way to show how intelligent kids today are. Denise’s show just seems exploitive and self-serving.

What do you moms think? Would you allow your children to be filmed for a reality-TV show? What would the terms be?
