Candace Cameron Bure On Having “The Talk” with Her Kids

Candace, 34, best known as D.J. Tanner from Full House, now has a full house of her own. With Russian hockey player hubby Valerie Bure, Candace has a daughter Natasha, 11, and sons Lev, 10, and Maksim, 8. 


She has already had the birds and the bees talk with her two older kids. “We had separate discussions with them on just the basics because I wanted to make sure we were the first ones that talked to them about it and that they weren’t learning it from friends or school or television or movies,” she explains in “Parent Canada.”

In fact, she admits to keeping a very close eye on her children’s TV and computer habits. “I am so overly protective when it comes to technology because there are so many dangers associated with it,” she admits. Natasha and Lev do not have Facebook or Twitter accounts, and Candace will make sure it stays that way.

Cell phones are also not allowed in her home, with daughter Natasha asking for one constantly. “[Natasha says] ‘But mom, I’m the only one left in school that doesn’t have my own cell phone,’” Candace explains. “I’m like, ‘Great! Good for all of them.’” Wow, what resolve!
