So, what do you think of this… You’ve probably all heard Jamie Foxx’s hit song Blame It, right? Well, his lyrics “Blame it on the alcohol” seem to be making Foxx a less than popular dad at his daughter’s school.
He told Jay Leno that “I got a lot of flack for that because the kids started singing the song. I would go to my daughter’s school and (the) parents go, ‘How dare you have my child bringing flasks of Hennessy to the school?’ They were upset with me. So my manager’s daughter came up with the idea to change the song a little bit so the kids would have something to sing.”
So, he sang “Blame it on the juice/’Cause you’re only two/Blame it on the juice/Whatcha gonna do/Blame it on the apple juice.”
Do you think parents should be blaming Foxx for their children’s behaviors? Should he be held accountable for what teenagers sing?
Should parents be monitoring what their children are listening to or blaming artists for the songs they sing? Who is the audience or should I say, who should be the audience?
