Mia Hamm Dishes About Life with Twins

Mia Hamm, soccer legend, discussed the transition from zero kids to two kids in the May issue of American Baby. She said, “We always say we don’t know anything else; We’ve only had two, never one.”

Mia’s two-year-olds Grace Isabella and Ava Caroline keep her on her toes. She advises that moms of mulitiples accept help whenever possible, “even those five minutes to take a shower or to eat something sitting down as opposed to standing up — they’re vital for your energy…” 

Where does Mia go alone? The grocery store. “Those are times for me to get away.” She also make exercise a priority.

Mia’s husband is Nomar Garciaparra of the Oakland Athletics.
