Kendra Wilkinson on DWTS: I’ll Never Be a Pro!

Dancing With the Stars is filmed in a studio, but Kendra Wilkinson likes to think of gliding out onto the glossy stage as something a little more her style: hittin’ the club.

"I need to think, this is the club and I need to go out there and show what I really got," the reality starlet and DWTS contestant told PEOPLE this weekend.

The 25-year-old star of "Kendra" (appropriately named, no?) was a little nervous during the first week’s performances, but said she just needs to remind herself this time around that she’ll never be a professional ballroom dancer.

"I hate how everyone is taking this so serious. People just need to relax and look at it as entertainment, as funny, as fun," she said. "Don’t look at it like we’re supposed to be pros."

They may not be professionals, but the dancers still have to practice a lot. Luckily for Wilkinson, this time intensive routine hasn’t affected time with her baby boy Hank Jr., 15 months. She said he usually sleeps while she’s practicing and wakes up when she’s home.

One thing Kendra was NOT prepared for in the DWTS experience however? Gettin’ all dolled up!

"I lived at the Playboy Mansion, and I was dolled up every now and then. This is like intense dolled up, blue eyeshadow and hair out to outer space," she said. "I didn’t even recognize myself on TV. I was like, who is that? I looked like a mermaid."
