It looks like Danica Patrick and Paul Hospenthal are on different tracks.
The NASCAR driver announced yesterday that she and her husband of seven years were separating.
“I am sad to inform my fans that after 7 years, Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage,” she said in a post on her Facebook page.
This isn’t easy for either of us, but mutually it has come to this,” wrote the 30-year-old racing star. “He has been an important person and friend in my life and that’s how we will remain moving forward.”
Hospenthal, 47, is a physical therapist and personal trainer who specializes in fitness for golfers. The pair reportedly met when Patrick visited his physical therapy office seeking treatment for a yoga-related hip injury.
The news of their split came just one day after the couple’s wedding anniversary. They were married on November 19, 2005 in Scottsdale, Arizona – and Hospenthal proposed the year before on Thanksgiving Day.
