Overnight Diapers for Toddlers

January 5, 2011 by ds_51230 Leave a Comment

If your toddler is sleeping longer through the night, it can mean that a regular diaper isn’t enough to hold all his urine. Even if he is potty trained during the day, it can still take a few years before he is able to stay dry during the night. Look for the overnight diaper that’s right for your toddler.

Huggies Overnights

The Huggies Overnight style of diaper is the most absorbent style that the Huggies brand offers. They feature Mickey Mouse, which can encourage your child to wear them if Mickey is a favorite character. The stretchy waistband may allow your child to use these diapers as a pull-up, if he wakes up in the middle of the night and wants to use the toilet. As a specialized diaper, these come in smaller packages than the manufacturer’s other diapers and are a bit more expensive.

Pampers Baby Dry

The Pampers Baby Dry style features up to 12 hours of wetness protection at a price that’s comparable to day time diapers. Your child may love the Sesame Street characters featured on the front and back of the diaper. The sides and back stretch, allowing for a comfortable fit, but these are still the traditional diaper that opens at the sides.

UnderJams

Made by Pampers, UnderJams are meant for older toddlers. They mimic the look of regular underwear, but have an absorbent core to hold night time accidents. The outside is cloth-like to reduce noise. These are a good solution for sleepovers, when your older toddler might be embarrassed to wear diapers.

GoodNights

Also good for sleepovers, GoodNights sleep pants by Huggies mimic the look and feel of real underwear. They come in both underwear-style and boxer-style. The pull-up style is a help for those who are potty trained during the day — they don’t have to revert to “baby diapers” just because they are having nighttime accidents. The smallest size is designed for toddlers weighing at least 38 lb.
