How to Make Your Eyelashes Look Longer & Fuller

January 12, 2011 by ds_365 Leave a Comment

Not everyone is born with the eyelashes of a starlet. But that doesn’t mean you have to live with sparse eyelashes. If you are not into falsies and quiver at the thought of using a drug to make your eyelashes look longer and fuller, consider a different approach. Simple techniques can pump up your lashes, giving the illusion that they are thicker and lengthier than they really are. Only you will know the secret.

Use a Curler

Curl your eyelashes. Curling your eyelashes will give them the illusion of length. Simply hold the eyelash curler with your thumb and index finger. Close your eye. Lay the jaws of the eyelash curler over your eyelashes and squeeze the handle to close the jaws. Hold for 10 seconds and release your lashes. Repeat the process on your other eye.

Comb Your Lashes

Comb your lashes after curling. Combing your eyelashes in an upward direction will help to separate your lashes, adding the illusion of fullness. Simply run the eyelash comb through the ends of your lashes just as you would comb your hair.

Apply Several Coats of Mascara

Apply a few coats of mascara. Allow the mascara to dry in between coats. The idea is to apply the mascara to your lashes without clumping. Allowing a minute or two of drying time in between coats can help eliminate clumping. Use a mascara that specifies lengthening and thickening on the label.
