Jade and I are on our way to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to participate in Sanford Health’s Fitness Initiative. Tina Hill, my partner in Twist Shape ur Life and I are going to get 15 thousand kids moving! It’s going to be fantastic!
My 14-year-old daughter Jade, reminded me the other day that I had made her a promise when I laid in the hospital for almost 4 months totally unable to move. She was 11 at the time and I finally was able to speak mid-March. My transplant was on February 21st (my birthday.)
The last two years have been an incredible journey for myself and my now 14 year old daughter, Jade. In February of 2009, I was in need of a heart. I was given days to live and received a heart on my 59th birthday. I thank my donor family everyday. Since this is my first blog and we are just getting to know one another, I had a whole introduction planned. However, this past week, I went to the Donate Life Hollywood Inspire Awards.
