You can use it to make cut-out cookies (with cookie cutters), dye the dough any color to suite your occasion, make a cookie log to freeze for later or give as a gift, or just sprinkle some sugar on top, bake and eat. This dough is very versatile so get your big THREE (butter, sugar, flour) and lets get going.
Do you have recipes that you clipped from a newspaper or magazine, put away in your recipe box and then forgotten for 10+ years? Well, this is one of those recipes. I cut out this Red Velvet Cake from the Houston Chronicle, “Hints from Heloise,” in 1998. I made it back then, loved it and saved it. Now the clipping is that iconic old newspaper shade of yellow. This recipe has moved from house to house, state to state. Here is the Sugar Mommas version based on that old recipe. Red Velvet Cake Ingredients
After glancing through an old issue of Southern Living, we were inspired by their caramel apples. We decided to let our kids loose in the backyard in search of twigs and this recipe is what we conjured up with some caramel and our imaginations. While your little ones don their costumes, try dressing up some fruit to make these delicious sweet treats for the holiday.
A favorite childhood memory was going to the original Cheesecake Factory with my grandmother. It was a tiny restaurant that served a few sandwiches and a wide selection of cheesecakes. For lunch, I would enjoy a grilled cheese sandwich and fries. I remember the sandwich was on thick toasted sourdough bread with sharp cheddar. For dessert, Grandma and I would split a piece of chocolate chip cheesecake. The big ol slice was such a treat. In honor of those bygone days, here is the Sugar Mommas version of Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. Enjoy!
Youre sure to attract a leprechaun with these delicious treats. And the brownie-like cupcakes hold a refreshing surprise in the center, so even if you dont find the pot of gold, youll still get a scrumptious surprise!
We have to assume Santa likes some variation on Christmas Eve, so the dough in this recipe is a perfect cross between a chocolate chip and an oatmeal cookie; soft and chewy in the center with a slight crunch at the edge.
This just may be the most outrageous cake we have concocted yet! Our friend John brought us a Blums Crunch Cake a year ago stating that this was his favorite childhood dessert. It was delish. We promised to make him one for his birthday this year. And so we did.
We love to sass up old recipes and give them a modern look. This gooey Pretzel Bar is a new twist on a favorite cousin, the Rice Krispie Treat. It’s the perfect treat to serve at your next Back to School event! Ingredients
