Kristi Yamaguchi is an Olympic skating champion, the winner of “Dancing with the Stars: Season 6,” a fitness expert and the mother of two young girls – so it’s safe to say she’s not the kind of person who stands on the sidelines.
Luckily, she’s also channeling her energy to get involved with a great cause. Yamaguchi is working with the American Lung Association’s Faces of Influenza campaign to raise awareness about the importance of getting vaccinated against the illness, especially for those over the age of 65.
She took a few minutes to talk with ModernMom about her work as an advocate, her family and how it felt to win Olympic gold. Check out the interview in the video below:
